Itinerary Moc Chau in 2 Days with Asia Transport Limousine

Moc Chau has emerged as a captivating destination drawing numerous visitors at the beginning of the year, thanks to its breathtaking natural landscapes.

January marks the bloom of apricot and plum blossoms, with some areas featuring cherry or peach blossoms.

Although recent prolonged rains caused significant shedding, a new wave of blossoms is expected in the coming weekends.

This 48-hour Moc Chau itinerary is curated by Mr. Tran Hai, a local photographer and tour guide, along with Mr. Lekima Hung from the Photography Academy LPA, specializing in organizing photo tours to renowned domestic and international tourist spots.

Day 1 Hanoi - Moc Chau

Morning and Afternoon:

Departure from Hanoi at approximately 6:30 AM via Thang Long Avenue, QL6, passing through Kun slope and Thung Khe pass to Hòa Bình and then Sơn La. During the journey, there will be a pit stop at the Thung Khe pass for photo opportunities. This area, referred to as the "white stone pass," showcases naturally beautiful rock formations resembling snow-covered landscapes.

Upon reaching the central town of Moc Chau, enjoy lunch with the special Moc Chau hotpot made with fresh milk.

Afternoon:

After lunch, head to the apricot blossom gardens located approximately 20 km from the town center. Along the way to Chờ Lồng, Ngũ Động Bản Ôn, and Nà Ka, places with blooming blossoms, visitors can also explore some red ripe strawberry gardens.

Phiêng Cành, situated along the Nà Ka valley route, is a village of the Mông ethnic group surrounded by apricot orchards.

Evening:

Return to the town and have dinner around 7 PM, savoring the local specialty, Moc Chau salmon, at restaurants like Vườn Đào, Hang Dơi, Thanh Bẩy, Đông Hải, and Chiềng Đi.

These restaurants typically offer set menus with 5 or 6 dishes, featuring items such as salads, hotpots, and crispy fried fish skin. Prices range from 250,000 to 300,000 VND per set. It's advisable to make reservations in advance due to the high influx of tourists during this season.

Stay overnight at a hotel or homestay in the tea hill area, offering tranquility and proximity to nature, with room prices ranging from 500,000 to over 1 million VND.

Day 2 Moc Chau - Hanoi

Morning and Noon:

Have breakfast around 7:30 AM at the hotel or along the town's central streets, offering common breakfast options such as pho, eel porridge, sticky rice, or fish noodle soup.

After breakfast, travel back along the same route taken the previous day to visit two other famous attractions in Moc Chau: Nàng Tiên Waterfall (approximately 27 km from the town center).

Nàng Tiên Waterfall, with its three tiers, offers a serene first tier suitable for swimming during the summer. The second tier presents challenging but rewarding hiking, and the third tier boasts a picturesque waterfall cascading into a deep green pool. After exploring the waterfall, enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant featuring popular dishes like grilled chicken or pork.

Afternoon:

On the return journey to the town center and back to Hanoi, consider stopping by the Tea Hill Village (home to the Heart-shaped Tea Hill) along the way.

Arrive in Hanoi around 5 PM.

Note: The weather in Moc Chau during this period can be cold, with temperatures sometimes dropping below 10°C. Prepare warm clothing, gloves, scarves, and an umbrella. Additionally, be cautious of foggy conditions on the mountainous roads during the evening.

Alternative Options:

1. Visit the Cau Kinh Bach Long amusement park, home to the Guinness World Record-holding longest pedestrian glass bridge (plan for at least half a day if purchasing tickets).

2. Explore activities in the Pá Phách village, which hosts various events during the Mông ethnic New Year.

3. Discover the Pine Forest in Bản Áng or strawberry gardens if you have not visited them before.
